Breast or Bottle - What will you Choose?
New edition of this popular Brochure

The new up dated and referenced edition of Breast or bottle What will you choose? is a brochure designed to help mothers make an informed choice about how to feed their Breast or Bottle brochure coverbaby.
People can have very strong or fixed views about infant feeding. Infant formulas have been widely used in some industrialised countries since being advertised in the early 1900s. Some women don't like the idea of breastfeeding, or think they won't be able to do it. Women hear lots of different stories and get lots of different advice. This brochure provides women with facts on which to base their choice of how to feed their baby.

Information contained within the brochure includes a brief description of infant formula and information about the national standards set by the governments of Australia and New Zealand. The brochure has one side stating the proven advantages of breastfeeding and breastmilk as well as possible disadvantages. These cover medical information written in an easy to read dot point form as well as social and economic reasons for breastfeeding.
Again the medical information is given in plain English. References are provided for those health professionals and mothers who want to read more about the normality and benefits of breastfeeding.

The brochure concludes with some brief information about mixed feeding and the implications of doing this. It gives women sufficient information to make an informed decsion on their feeding method. Further contact information is given for support organisations within Australia.
