Galaxy Journal

Galaxy Journal cover Galaxy is the ALCA National Journal, which is sent free to all members and subscribers three times a year. Galaxy is published in February/ March, June/ July and October/ November each year.

 

Galaxy offers updates on where breastfeeding is today, current published research and showcases the human side of breastfeeding through reader stories, artwork and case studies.

 

Typically, a Galaxy includes: Presidents Message; Reports from the Executive Officer; IBLCE; ABA and ALCA Branches.

 

We also have Articles of Interest, Web news, Readers Stories, Book Reviews and Previews and Letters to Editor.

 

We also cover recent initiatives by the State and Federal Governments and provides free advertising to community/support groups who have breastfeeding projects that they wish to showcase.

 

Galaxy acts as a vehicle for research, surveys etc and finally, publishes excerpts from Lactnet, overseas journals and Australian newspapers.

 

Advertising in Galaxy

Galaxy does carry advertising, however it must be directly relevant to lactation consultant work. We reject advertising that compromises our aims and objectives. If you are interested in advertising in Galaxy you will need to contact the National Office at least 6 weeks prior to the publication dates of Feb, June and October.
