International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE) The IBLCE creates and administers the competency exam by which IBCLCs are certified.
IBLCE matters within Australia are administered by Karolyn Vaughan IBCLC, the Regional Director. The IBCLICK! is the official newsletter for all IBLCE matters. Regular IBLCE reports are also published in ALCA Galaxy.

Advisory Panel on the Marketing in Australia of Infant Formula (APMAIF)
Following ALCA's 1989 submission, APMAIF was set up in 1992 to monitor industry compliance with the voluntary Australian Agreement on the Marketing in Australia of Infant Formula.
Complaints about alleged violations of the Agreement should sent, with supporting documentation, to:

Complaint forms are available from the Consumer Affairs Division. It is recommended that complaints be sent directly to the company concerned in the first instance, then referred to APMAIF if the company does not respond satisfactorily.
